Hotel NYX Cancun – Honest Review The hotel is clean, and overall "most" staff members are friendly and helpful. The location is convenient, and the property is generally well maintained. However, be prepared for long queues at breakfast and dinner; on a couple of occasions we waited around 30 minutes, which felt excessive. The hotel is also quite strict about the dinner dress code, which is worth knowing in advance. One important tip: avoid the tour promotion staff. They promise “2-for-1” activities in exchange for attending a 90-minute presentation, but this was not honoured, and we later found the same tours cheaper through external providers. The food was average overall; not bad, but nothing particularly memorable. While we appreciate that tips can sometimes be offered, there is a general expectation of tipping in the hotel, which often feels uncomfortable. At times, it also feels as though the quality of service is affected if you don’t leave a tip. However, this seems to be common across Cancun and in many places you go. Overall decent, but could be improved.

Me and my wife came here in Feb of 2025, and now again in Feb of 2026. We will be back again next year as well. This place is fantastic! The service is great, the food at Chianti is to die for, and the vibes are vibing. All of the employees here (especially Enrique, Humberto, Teresita and the rest of the beachside servers) are super friendly and helpful! They have made so many improvements to the resort since we came here the first time, and from what we were told, they are going to be making more improvements. It's a small peaceful resort that you can go to for a nice relaxing time at the beach in warm weather. This time around we stayed during the superbowl, and their superbowl party was a blast! I would highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a great time in Mexico!

Vacation Couple Rooms are great, very clean, spacious. Atmosphere is exactly what you want in Mexico. Great service, BEACH IS TOP NOTCH BEAUTIFUL! Location is great. There's a local bus right outside the front of the resort that is .50 cents US if you use pesos, to hop on it and it takes all up and down the fun parts of Cancun. Just a great place to vacation. Will definitely be returning. :)

The room was spacious and clean, and our room had a beautiful ocean view, which was absolutely lovely. The staff were very friendly, always helpful, and there were plenty of staff members available at all times. The food was good, especially the breakfast buffet. The beach was very nice and clean, and the pool view was also great. There were only two issues: first, there is construction nearby, so during the day there was a lot of noise in the rooms and it was difficult to rest or sleep. However, there was no noise at night. The second issue was that the room ventilation wasn’t very good, and a musty smell tended to linger in the room. Overall, I would still love to come back here again.

My families experience here was spectacular. From the first moment the staff were welcoming, helpful, and kind. Our room was extremely spacious and our balcony with its view to the ocean had comfortable seating making it a perfect way to spend our mornings. The dining options were a highlight of our stay. The Italian restaurant offered delicious, comforting dishes that everyone in our family enjoyed, while the Japanese restaurant provided beautifully prepared meals and a wonderful atmosphere. Having such high-quality and varied restaurants on-site made dining easy and enjoyable every day.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. We loved the beach and the food. The service was impeccable, and the staff made us feel valued and welcome at all times. Their professionalism and warmth created a memorable experience. Special thanks to Freddy and Albertho, the beach waiters, and Daniel at the Italian restaurant. All of you were attentive, friendly, and very professional throughout our visit. You ensured everything was perfect and always greeted us with a smile. Excellent service — thank you!

I loved this resort so much. The workers were amazing and they truly went above and beyond to make my stay excellent. The food options and varieties were amazing as well. Truly did not have a bad experience or dislike any of the food at all. The beach was beautiful, pool was clean, it’s not a huge resort but that’s what I loved most about it! The staff really made the place so wonderful and welcoming. It was safe, clean, and they had fun events everyday like ceviche workshop, margarita workshop, beach yoga everyday, I will definitely be coming back. 10/10 for me! Every night they had a different theme for dinner at the buffet, so you didn’t get tired of the food. Love this place so much.

Hotel NYX Cancun exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the service was truly top tier. The staff went out of their way to be warm, attentive, and helpful, and it never felt forced or scripted. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and spotless, with extremely comfortable beds and gorgeous ocean views. Waking up to the water every morning was one of the best parts of the stay. The pool area was always lively but never overcrowded, and the beach was pristine with soft sand, clear water, and plenty of seating. The location is perfect. Hotel NYX is right in the heart of the Hotel Zone, close to restaurants, shopping, and nightlife, but it still feels relaxed and easy once you’re on the property. Everything was accessible without feeling chaotic. The food was consistently excellent. There was a great variety, everything tasted fresh, and the quality was noticeably higher than expected. Drinks were just as good and always well made. At night, the lobby turns into a fun, lively bar scene that felt social and energetic without being overwhelming. There were also endless activities throughout the day, from poolside events to entertainment that made it easy to stay engaged without ever needing to leave the resort. Overall, Hotel NYX Cancun delivers a complete experience with excellent rooms, great food, a fun atmosphere, and some of the best service I have received anywhere. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cancun.
